A maritime coin ceremony tradition took place earlier at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, as the keel was laid for MSC Cruises’ first liquified natural gas-powered ship, MSC World Europa. The 200,000-plus GT ship is scheduled to enter service in 2022, become the LNG-powered vessel to be built in France. Keel laying for latest Holland America Line vessel in Italy | News

Holland America Line has celebrated the keel laying of its new 2,668-passenger ‘Ryndam’ at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy. A 505-ton block, measuring 14 by 34 meters, was lowered by crane into the yard’s building dock, marking the official beginning of construction. The Pinnacle Class ship is scheduled for delivery in May 2021.
